Shriya Saran wants to take away age limit for drinking

Year after year death due to alcohol addiction is going up in huge numbers. Even ladies have started drinking. Various countries including India are taking steps to curb the drinking habits. As per this, the Maharashtra Government has passed orders that liquor should not be supplied to persons below the age group of 25.

Now Shriya Saran is now in controversy because she has commented on the government decision. She has twitted, “You can get married at 18, cast your vote, and go to a professional college. But legal age to drink is 25. How absurd is that.” This has a big issue. Many have started protesting against her views. Replying to this, Shriya has said, “An individual person has the right of freedom to make his decision.
He knows what to do or what not to do according to his age. That is what I have mentioned and not have advocated anything about drinking. I don’t want to speak any thing further in this matter. In case if I have mentioned anything wrong, kindly apologize me for this.”
