கௌதம் மேனனின் தெலுங்கு விண்ணைத் தாண்டி வருவாயா படத்தில் சிறப்பாக நடித்து அசத்தியவர் நடிகை சம்ந்தா. இவரைத்தான் அஜீத்துடன் நாயகியாக போட்டு துப்பறியும் ஆனந்த் படத்தை எடுக்கத் திட்டமிட்டிருந்தார் மேனன். ஆனால் அப்படம் டிராப் ஆகவே தமிழுக்கு வரும் வாய்ப்பு சமந்தாவுக்குத் தள்ளிப் போனது.

இருந்தாலும் சமந்தாவை விட்டு விடாத கெளதம் மேனன் தற்போது அவரை தனது படத்தில் மீண்டும் நடிக்க வைத்து தமிழுக்குக் கொண்டு வந்துள்ளார். 'நீதானே என் பொன்வசந்தம்' என பெயரிடப்பட்டுள்ள அந்த படத்தில் ஜீவாவுடன் ஜோடி சேர்ந்துள்ளார் சமந்தா.

இந்நிலையில் சமந்தா யாரோ ஒரு பிரபல இயக்குனரின் கட்டுப்பாட்டில் இருப்பதாக பத்திர்க்கைகளில் செய்தி வெளியாகின. அட என்னடா இது இப்படி எழுதியிருக்கிறார்களே என்று சமந்தா கடுப்பாகிவிட்டாராம்.

இதையடுத்து தன்னைப் பற்றி இப்படியெல்லாம் எழுதிய மீடியா அதிலும் குறிப்பாக தமிழ் மீடியாக்காரர்களிடம் பேசுவதையே நிறுத்திவிட்டாராம்.

Gautham Menon found Ram's replacement, Not Jeeva

Gautham Vasudev Menon has found a replacement for Ram, who opted out of the Telugu version of his trilingual, which is titled 'Neethane En Ponvasantham' in Tamil. And it's not Jiiva, the protagonist of the Tamil version as reported earlier.

Instead, the director will film the Telugu portions with Naani of 'Ashta Chemma' fame, who was seen playing a crucial role in 'Veppam', a movie produced by Gautham Menon. Impressed by his skills, Gautham has roped in Nani for the project," sources say.

Aditya Roy Kapur is playing the lead role in the Hindi version of this trilingual love story, while Samantha is the heroine of all the three versions. "It is about an engineering student falling in love with a psychology student. It will be as sweet as Gautham's earlier love stories," sources say.

AR Rahman is touted to compose the music for 'Neethane En Ponvasantham'. Shooting for the film is expected to complete by the beginning of 2012, after which Gautham is scheduled to start 'Yohan Adhyayam Ondru', his first movie with Vijay.

Gautham Menon's hindi VTV Prem Katha renamed

Even as we get to hear that the new Ranbir Kapoor starrer is named after a song from a film starring his uncle Randhir Kapoor, the new Prateik starrer is named after a song in a Rishi Kapoor starrer. While Ayan Mukerjee's film with Ranbir is titled Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Gautham Menon's love story with Prateik has just been christened Ek Deewana Tha.

Prateik, who has now dropped the Babbar from his name, is hell-bent on going the solo hero way in a big way. So his next release, a love story that was earlier titled Prem Katha, has been renamed Ek Deewana Tha... to go with Prateik's character.

Apparently, Pratik plans to accept solo hero projects only. His next release My Friend Pinto is not only a solo hero project, it's also titled after Prateik's character.

And now Prateik's next project, Tamil film maker Gautham Menon's remake of his own Tamil hit Vainnaithaandi Varuvaa, is an out-and-out love story featuring Prateik and model-actress Amy Jackson.

Apparently, Prateik was keen that the film's title be pertinent to his character.

Says the source, "The original Tamil film was titled Vainnaithaandi Varuvaa which means, 'Will You Cross The Skies and Come?' Director Menon was thinking of a similar abstract title for the Hindi version. In fact it was to be called Prem Katha in Hindi. But then, it was decided that the film should have a zany title to go with Prateik's character."

Another factor which apparently played a hand in the film's renaming was Salman Khan. After Salman's Ek Tha Tiger it was felt that a title with the hero being extolled in the past tense created a sense of nostalgia and excitement.

"Besides," adds the source, "It's a line that comes from a favourite song of Prateik's... 'Ek Haseena Thi, Ek Deewana Tha'. The first three words of the song had already been used as the title of an Urmila Matondkar thriller. The makers of the Prateik starrer decided to use the second part of the Karz song for him."

Vijay Singh, CEO of Fox-Star, producers of Ek Deewana Tha, has confirmed the title.

Ram walked out of Gautham Menon's movie

 Gautham Vasudev Menon’s romantic entertainer Neethane En Ponvasantham (NEP) which is simultaneously made in three languages has hit the rock.

It is well known that the film is being made with Jeeva in Tamil, Ram in Telugu and Aditya Roy Kapoor in Hindi. Now we hear that the hero of Telugu version Ram has walked of the film leaving Gautham stranded. Sources revealed that Ram has a problem in waiting for his shot until Jeeva and Aditya complete their shot before his chance comes. Gautham has decided to shoot the film as per the order of seniority of the actor or his star ratings.

This process of waiting has irked Ram after shooting for ten days for the film and finally opted out of this romantic entertainer as doesn’t want to waste his time.

The next big thing for Gautham is to replace Ram by another charming actor and lets us wait and see on who will be the lucky star to join Gautham’s camp.

Meanwhile, the shoot of the film might be put on hold as he is filming for all the three languages simultaneously.

Neethane En Ponvasantham -1 heroine 3 Hero's

Gowtham Vasudev Menon is directing a film titled Neethane En Ponvasantham which has Jeeva and Samantha in the lead roles.

This film is being produced by Gowtham Menon’s Photon Kathas in association with R S Infotainment.

Gowtham who always want to do something innovative directed Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya in Tamil and Telugu languages. Both the versions had different heroes and heroines.

Next he directed a film titled Nadunisi Naigal which did not have songs or background music. Now he is directing the film titled Nee Thane En Pon Vasantham in three languages.

In Tamil Jeeva is doing the lead role and in Telugu Ram is doing the lead role while in Hindi, Aditya Roy Kapur is doing the lead role. But Samantha is the heroine in all the three languages.

Because of this cinematographer M S Prabhu is shooting each sequence three times. The shooting of this film is taking place in and around Chennai currently. It is expected that A R Rahman will compose the music for this film.

Will Ajith - Gautham Menon come together?

This has been the never-ending question that has been rounding upon airs from the time they parted ways due to creative difference of opinions. Gautham Menon always follows a specific pattern of not revealing the story to his actors and that supposedly had irked Ajith Kumar. But the actor was polite enough to say that things didn’t work out well and they will surely work together for a project.

But during later point of time, while attending a college function Gautham Menon put down Ajith fans by saying, "Who is Thala? I don’t know any such person like that". It is also worth recalling that he had openly admitted that he doesn’t want to work with people who don’t have their heads right over the shoulders.
But now the bitter memories have likely faded away and let us hope they come together giving a big stroke.

Ram walked out of Gautham Menon's film

Actor Ram, who is basking the success of Kandireega (Telugu), has walked out of his dream project with master film maker Gautham Menon due to a spat with Bellamkonda Suresh, producer of the recently released Kandireega over remuneration issues.

According to sources, the producer tried to withhold the actor's remuneration by keeping it pending till the last hour before the release of Kandireega. Ram later approached MAA for help and after a few rounds of discussions, the dispute was settled recently when the producer agreed to pay the total amount (nearly one crore).

Soon after he got the remuneration, Ram announced that he has made a tough decision by dropping out of the Gautham Menon film, which is also produced by Bellamkonda Suresh. Although the actor’s uncle and producer Sravanthi Ravi Kishore holds 50% rights in Gautam Menon’s film, Ram still did not want to do it. The proposed film is being made in Telugu and Tamil.

Story of Vijay's Yohan: Adhyayam Ondru

Ever since the news about Vijay-Gautham Menon film is out there is lot of excitement and eagerness among his fans to know about the details of the film.

Here comes an exciting speculation about the story of Yohan: Adhyayam Ondru. The story deals on how a normal person from down south of Tamilnadu becomes a powerful don in New York. Meanwhile some rumours reveal that Vijay is expected to play the role of an undercover agent. The promo posters of the film revealed Vijay in a new avatar at the background of skyscrapers of New York which clearly indicates that the film is an action-oriented flick.

Vijay is tightlipped and is not willing to reveal anything pertaining to the film. Yohan: Adhyayam Ondru will move on floors during summer of 2012, and will probably release for Pongal 2013.

Gautham Menon has not announced the cast and crew of the film but it is expected that his regular crew like AR Rahman for music, Manoj Paramahamsa for cinematographer, Rajeevan for art direction, Antony for editing and others will be assigned their respective duties.

Vijay as police officer in Gautham’s film?

A couple of days back we have reported that Ilayathalapathy Vijay is all set to do a film with Gautham Vasudev Menon very soon. Now we are back with some interesting updates of the film.

Vijay is likely to play the role of detective officer who unravels a murder mystery in the backdrops of London. Gautham Menon has decided to shoot the film in Chennai and London as the story runs on the back drop of London. Music will be composed by A. R Rahman while cinematography will be handled by Manoj Paramahamsa. It looks like the story is very interesting as Vijay will be playing totally a new role in this yet to be titled film.

The film will move on floors once Gautham completes his next with Jeeva and Vijay completes his projects with Murugadoss and Seeman.

In fact this project was initially planned to take off with Ajith and Suriya but it didn’t happen due to some unknown reasons.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay is Gautham Menon’s hero

Just think of a film with the combination of mass and class, its great to visualize right. Yes, this combo is going to come in the form of mass hero Vijay with class director Gautham Menon. Undoubtedly, the box office keeps ticking in a non stop mode.

Gautham Menon is all set to do a film with Vijay very soon. The actor regretted for not accepting Kaakha Kaakha when it was offered to him. Now Vijay is very much eager to work with ace director like Gautham Menon to AR Murugadoss to KV Anand. It is known that Gautham Menon has narrated a script to Vijay, immediately after hearing the actor was floored and agreed to be a part of the project. The director was delighted when Vijay as given his nod as he felt that Vijay is tailor made for this role.
