Karthi to romance Anushka & Nikitha
Immediately after completing ‘Saguni’, Karthi Sivakumar will start working with Suraj, the ‘big brother’ of commercial entertainers. In that movie, the actor will have two beautiful women opposite him and they are Anushka Shetty and Nikitha.
While Anushka has been signed for the project long back, the latest entrant is Nikitha, who recently faced a ban in Kannada film industry, which was however revoked later. “I am happy to act in a Tamil film with Karthi. I play a village belle in the movie,” she says.
The yet-to-be-titled film is set in the backdrop of both the city and the village, and we learn that the city portions would have Anushka romancing Karthi, with Nikitha playing his lady love in the rural scenes. “It is a complete commercial entertainer like the earlier ventures of Suraj,” sources say.
Meanwhile, Karthi is on the verge of completing the shoot of ‘Saguni’, directed by newcomer Shankar Dayal. He is also eagerly awaiting the release of his elder brother Suriya’s Deepavali treat ’7aum Arivu’. “I will watch the film first day first show,” says the actor.

Karthi's Saguni 70% Shoots complete
Director Shankar Dayal has confirmed that seventy percent of the shoot of his debut film 'Saguni', which stars Karthi Sivakumar and Pranitha in lead roles, was over and the rest will be completed soon.
"The movie has taken shape well. Almost all the characters in 'Saguni', especially that of Karthi's, are positive thinkers and they would instill a sense of confidence in the minds of the audience," he says.
Explaining the reason behind naming the film 'Saguni', he said, "Many feel Saguni is a negative title. But there is a positive side to it. The Saguni character in the great epic Mahabharatha is a symbol of intelligence."
Throwing light on the film's storyline, he said, "It is about an innocent young man, who comes to the city from a village. At a time when he admires everything he sees at the metropolis, how his life undergoes a change forms the crux."
What karthi's Saguni is about?
So far we have seen Karthi in a lover boy image and as an action hero. Each and every film Karthi signs he makes sure that his role in the film is different to the previous one. He is following this mantra right from the beginning of his career and this might be in his blood itself a she hails from a filmy background. All his films are different from each other and now he is set to take up a whole new character of a politician in his next film Saguni.
Saguni is a political thriller and happenings in the society will be told in a lively way, which would grab the interest of the audiences. The film is all about how an innocent youngster comes to the city from a village and how his life changes after that is the crux.
Karthi says “I feel that my responsibility have increased these days to do the films which are watchable by everyone in the family. These days whenever I make my presence in a public place, I find a number of children coming to me and exchanging small talk. So I am keen to do films which will be enjoyed by kids as well”.
Karthi is sharing the screen space with Pranitha while Santhanam plays his part of a comedian. Radhika Sarathkumar after a long time is coming back to the big screen and is playing a powerful role.

Karthi's Saguni launched in telugu
It looks like Karthi is keen in capturing the Telugu market as he launched the first look, logo and teaser of his forthcoming film Sakuni in Telugu first than in Tamil. The logo is unveiled by Ace Telugu producer Dr D Ramanaidu in Hyderabad. Top Tollywood director VV Vinayak released the publicity material of the film.
Saguni is a political satire which has Karthi and Praneetha in the lead roles. Directed by Shankar Dayal the film will see a release in Telugu as Sakuni. Karthi will sport a whole-new-look for Saguni that boasts off interesting twists. He is dressed in a formal look which reveals that he is playing the role of a politician.
On speaking at the press Karthi said "Though we have named the film as Shakuni, I played the role which resembles Sri Krishna Bhagwan. The story revolves round politics, with unforeseen twists. It is a satire on the present day politics. I am very happy that I played a strange role. The journey of a particular character in this film would be a big highlight".
This act of releasing the first look and logo in Telugu clearly shows his growing popularity in Andhra and his preferences.
Karthi & Ranjani in Austria!
The heartthrob of Kollywood, Karthi and his wife Ranjani are now on a honeymoon in Austria.
Karthi will be spending one week time with his wife in Austria and will be back to work. He will be back in Chennai by July 26th to join the sets of Saguni.
According to the close sources it is known that Karthi and Ranjani have left to Austria three days back for their one week-long honeymoon. After returning from Austria he will be joining the promotion activities of Naa Peru Shiva, the Telugu version of Naan Mahaan Alla. The actor is expected to be in Hyderabad until the film releases.
Before leaving for honeymoon, Karthi has spent some days with his family members and at his in-laws’ place.

CM Jayalalitha wishes Karthi-Ranjini
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa yesterday has come all the way to Sivakumar’s residence to wish and bless the newly wed couple Karthi and Ranjini.
Jayalalitha was warmly welcomed by the entire Siva Kumar’s family including Sivakumar, wife Lakshmi, elder son Suriya, daughter-in-law Jyothika, and of course the young couple Karthi and Ranjini.
Jayalalitha personally conveyed her greetings and blessings to Karthi and Ranjani and she spent some time with them.

But the CM being busy with her prior schedules was unable to make her presence at the wedding reception which was held in Chennai.
