Arun Vijay's Thadaiyara Thaakka brisk shooting at Border Thottam

Arun Vijay's upcoming film Thadayara Thaakka is progressing on a brisk pace in and around Chennai. Currently the shoot of the film is going on at Border Thottam, one of the busiest areas of the metropolis.

On speaking about the film Arun Vijay said “We are having a blast shooting for the film and undoubtedly I can say that the film will click big time at the box office. My director Magizh Thirumeni hails from Gautham Vasudev Menon school of filmmaking and he is giving all the best things possible for the film”.

Arun Vijay is pairing with Mamatha Mohandas and after a longtime she is making her re-entry in Kollywood. According to the sources it is revealed that Arun Vijay and Mamta have shared a good chemistry in romantic sequences. Rakul Preet Singh, winner of beauty pageant Femina Miss India will be seen as the other leading lady in the film.

It is confirmed that reigning actress-singer Mamta Mohandas is getting engaged to her Bahrain based childhood friend on November 11, 2011. The wedding will take place next year. Though the groom’s identity is being kept secret, it is heard that more details of the groom would be divulged post the engagement.

Mamta revealed in a recent interview that it is not a filmi tale of romance and love at first sight but a fairytale story of long-time companionship turning into a lifelong commitment. She said that her ‘friend’ has been really close to her family for a long time. Once they realized that they were made for each other, they decided to live together and sought approval of their families.

Mamta Mohandas who was suffering from breast cancer has now fully recouped and is back in action.

When asked her about her health condition, she said, “I am all right now. Now I am acting Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films.

For the last six months, I was taking treatment for cancer. I feel free now since the cancer is fully cured.
In Tamil after Sivappathigaram and Guru En Aalu, I am acting in the film Thadaiyara Thaaka. Many are asking me that how I have taken cancer so easily. Cancer is a disease like heart attack, blood pressure and diabetics.

There is a kind of fear and disbelief among people that this disease is like a ghost or some spirit. I was under the impression that I will not get any disease since I am eating hygienic food. I use to cough continuously.

I was also losing my weight. So casually when I went for a scan, it was detected that I am having breast cancer. I was shocked that how I got this disease. I leant a lesson from this. Before nature everyone is equal. In that way I am thankful to cancer. The treatment is very painful.”

We are well aware that Bollywood beauty Prachi Desai has opted out of Arun Vijay starrer Thadaiyara Thaakka citing silly reasons. The team of Thadaiyara Thaakka was stunned with the actress silly act and started hunting for a new leading lady opposite Arun Vijay.

The latest buzz in tinsel is that Arun Vijay has roped in Mamatha Mohandas for playing his love interest in the film. The actress is not new to Tamil as she has acted back in Guru En Aalu alongside Madhavan. She is coming back to Kollywood after a brief break. Thadaiyara Thaakka is a two heroine subject and Rakul Preet Singh, winner of beauty pageant Femina Miss India will be seen as the other leading lady in the film.
