This girl (Haniska Motwani) with lot of luxurious beauty and glamour is on the rise now with more films coming on to her lap. So far she has acted only in a few films in Tamil – Maappillai with Dhaunush, Engeyum Kadhal with Jeyam Ravi.

Hansika to pair Simbu for Vettai Mannan

Hansika will be pairing with Simbhu in the film Vettai Mannan. Hansika has donned the female lead role in the films Maapillai and Engeyum Kadhal.

Currently she is acting in the film Velayudham which has Vijay in the lead role. Now she has been signed for the heroine for the film Vettai Mannan which has Simbhu in the lead role.

The film which is being produced by Nic Arts Chakravarthy is being directed by debutant director Nelson. Sakthi is handling the camera while Yuvan Shankar Raja composes the music. Sources say, " This is an action thriller film.

The shooting of the whole film is taking place in American and European countries. Hollywood technicians will be working in this film. Jai is also sharing the screen with Simbhu. There are two heroines in this film. Deeksha Seth is one of the heroines. Bollywood heroines were being considered for the second heroine role. But now Hansika has been signed for the second heroine role."

‘Velayudham’ re-take & then to Post Productions

The shooting for Jayam Raja’s superhero subject ‘Velayudham,’ which sees Ilayathalapathy in the protagonist’s role had wrapped up shoot a few days back with the post production work going on in full swing. Now recently the core team of ‘Velayudham’ met in Puducherry according to sources.

The reason for the meet was to record a stunt scene involving Vijay and the baddie. While the shoot for the team was over earlier, the director seems to have felt the need for a retake to retouch some of the stunt scenes, and hence the shooting. The shoot took place as a one-day schedule and was wrapped up towards sun down the same day.

With ‘Velauyudham’ being confirmed as a Diwali release and with the music by Vijay Anthony becoming a huge success, the fans of Ilayathalapathy are more eager than ever to see their matinee idol act, romance, dance and fight baddies on the big screen. ‘Velauyudham’ will be Vijay’s first attempt at approaching a superhero subject.

Vijay in and as ‘Velayudham’ will be sharing screen space with Hansika Motwani and Genelia, who will play his heroines, and Saranya Mohan will be his sister in the film. We will get back with more interesting updates as the clock keeps ticking towards the release date!

Velayutham officially announced to release October 25

Ayngaran, international market leader for Tamil films has announced the release date of 'Velayudham' in its official website! This Ilayathalapathy starrer will see release just one day prior to Diwali, on October 25!

Trade sources are speculating that 'Velayudham' will be one of the biggest releases on the international front after the Rajinikanth - Shankar venture, 'Endhiran', as it is said that Ayngaran will be releasing 'Velayudham' in over 350 theatres in the international market!

'Velayudham' stars Ilayathalapathy Vijay, Hansika Motwani and Genelia D' Souza in the lead roles with music by Vijay Antony. The film portrays how a commoner from a village who comes to Chennai, goes on to become a superhero to teach a lesson to the baddies in the city.

The film is much-expected by Vijay fans all over and boasts off a big budget and will portray Vijay in a never-seen-before avatar.

Hansika Motwani refuses Vikram's Rajapattai.

Hot and happening Hansika Motwani has refused to do an item number in Vikram'sRajapattai. The actress has turned down the offer even though she was offered a hefty amount to do the special number in the forthcoming Tamil film.

Sources say that Hansika Motwani was offered Rs 1.2 crores for the item number in Rajapattai but the actress rejected the offer claiming that she was not keen to do such songs. The actress told a leading daily that she will never do item number even if they offer a whopping paycheck.

It is said that the makers of the film wanted an actress, who has not done an item song before. Hence, they approached Hansika Motwani. However, now that she has turned down the offer, they are in search for another top South Indian actress.

Rajapattai features Vikram, Deeksha Seth and Mithra Kurian in the lead roles. It is directed by Susindran.

Vijay's Velayudham songs leaked on net

The audio of Vijay's Velayudham has been reportedly leaked on internet. A few days ago, it took the back door entry through video-sharing website Youtube to reach the audience.

Reports claim that the bits and pieces of some of the songs of Velayudham have hit the internet with bang. The unedited version of three numbers were leaked by unknown person, claims a report. The makers of the film are shocked by the development, as the master CD is still with them. Though, they have taken measures to protect it by not allowing anyone during the filming of the songs, yet those were leaked.

Vijay Anthony compositional music of Velayudham will be officially launched on August 28 in Madurai. It would probably become Vijay's biggest ever music release of his career, as the makers of the film are planning to unveil the audio in a grand manner by giving the Kaavalan star's entry to the venue in an impressive style.

Vijay, Genelia D'Souza and Hansika Motwani starrer Velayudham is expected to hit the screens in September first week. It is directed by Jayam Raja and produced by Aascar Ravichandran.

Hansika Motwani turns 21

She stood before the camera as a child artist and with every new project sculpted a name for herself even at a very young age. After a small stint with the small-screen, she zoomed out, larger-than-life on to the silver screen as a heroine with 'Mappillai' where she starred opposite Dhanush. Though the film dealt with a hero-centric subject, Hansika Motwani's performance got noticed by film goers as well as the critics.

Hansika's second release in Tamil was 'Engeyum Kadhal' under Prabhu Deva's direction where this "pretty find" shared screen space with 'Jayam' Ravi. Hansika is eagerly waiting for 'Velayudham's release which might happen towards the end of this month. This film sees her portraying Vijay's female lead. Everything OK with OKOK unit in Mumbai!

As reported by us Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (OKOK) team was off to Mumbai on Wednesday (July 13) morning for completing the last schedule shoot.

It was on the same day evening the Mumbai serial blasts took place and the well wishers along with the family members were worried about them and their wellbeing. The team was showered with messages and calls of enquiry about their well being coming to know of the Mumbai blasts.

Knowing the worry about his well wishers the director of the film tweeted “We are safe in Mumbai as we are shooting almost 70km away from Mumbai city, where the blasts took place”

It was on the same time Hansika was returning from the shoot to city when the blast took place in Dadar. She had just crossed it when the bomb went off and it was a narrow escape by the actress.

Hansika also tweeted- “Heart aches when you see all this, we try and forget the past and they revive all over again! Prayers for those affected and healing for the bereaved.”

OKOK shoot will continue for the next few days, as the director is canning important link scenes between Udhayanidhi and Hansika in a remote suburb of Mumbai.

OKOK shoot resumes from tomorrow!

The team of Oru Kal Oru Kannadi has taken a very short break before recommencing the next schedule as the director of the film has been to US for a family vacation. Now that the director Rajesh is back from US the shoot of the film is going to resume.

The shoot of OKOK is going to start from tomorrow in Mumbai. Udhayanidhi Stalin, Santhanam and the rest of the cast are joining the sets tomorrow in Mumbai. The film has completed majority of the shoot and just the songs and a few scenes are yet to be wrapped up. OKOK is a full length romantic and comedy entertainer which will appeal all sections of audiences. Hansika plays Udhayanidhi’s love interest in the film.

Harris Jayraj is scoring the music for this full length laughter riot while Balasubramaniam is handling cinematography. Udhayanidhi Stalin’s home production Red Giant Movies banner is producing the film.
