Suriya's to team up with Venkat Prabhu for his next?

There are multiple versions doing rounds about the next film of Venkat Prabhu, post the gigantic success of this director's last venture, Ajith-starrer 'Mankatha'. And one of them claims he would work with Suirya for his forthcoming project, which would get soon kick-start!

"Suirya was thoroughly impressed with a one-liner narrated by Venkat Prabhu and is game for working with him. However, it may take some time for the actor to start the film, as he has to honour his earlier commitments as he is busy with Maatraan and would do a film with Hari after that," sources say.

 Venkat Prabhu's 'Mankatha' is emerging the blockbuster of the year, with box-office reports claiming never-before figures. The film has been declared a super hit in all centers and is still running strong, exactly a month after its release.

Looks like director Venkat Prabhu has finally decided on his next project! If the buzz in Kollywood is true, then the Mankatha director has achieved a coup of sorts by signing up with none other than Suriya for his next flick. 

The director's Mankatha had the second highest opening ever in K-town, second to only the Superstar's Endhiran. Though Suriya has agreed in principle to work with him, it looks like the director would have to wait for a while before the film can actually go on the floor. Suriya's 7aum Arivu is yet to release and he has to complete Hari's film before he starts Venkat Prabhu's project.

Currently, Venkat Prabhu is off to Malaysia with Premgi and friends for a holiday, possibly to celebrate the success of Mankatha and relax after the Charan-Sona episode.

Mankatha was not created for Ajith - Venkat Prabhu

Director Venkat Prabhu said that Mankatha was not created for Ajith.

The film Mankatha which has Ajith and Trisha in the lead roles is being released on 30th of this month.

This film is the most expected not alone by his fans but from all quarters of people. This film is being released by Studio Green throughout Tamil Nadu.

These days there is always a news about this film. Now Venkat Prabhu has given a new information about this film.
Venkat Prabhu while speaking said, "The Mankatha story was not written for Ajith. The role Vinayak was created for Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi.

Vivek Oberoi was supposed to do the lead role in this film. But we did not speak about this film to him. At that point of time, I got a phone call from Ajith. He said, " I heard that you have titled your film as Mankatha. Greetings. It is a good name.

I want to act in a role like Heath Ledger did in the Hollywood film The Dark Knight. Is it possible to make a story for me like that one?" I told him that Mankatha is such a story and told him the crux of the story. He was impressed. He said that the story was good and he is ready to act in it. All this took place in three minutes."

Venkat Prabhu's next 'Neradi Olibarappu' on 3D

Director Venkat Prabhu who is eagerly waiting for the release of his much awaited film Mankatha is also gearing up to start his next project titled Neradi Olibarappu, which will be shot on 3D technology.

Venkat Prabhu on talking about the film said “Neradi Olibarappu will start rolling only after Mankatha releases and will be shot with state-of-the-art technology. This film will be made on grand budget which will feature all newcomers in the lead roles”.

It is known that the film will be on a comedy genre along with other ingredients. Currently the script is getting its final touches. Venkat Prabhu is currently busy with last piece works of Mankatha. The promotions of the film are on a full swing on all leading channels and the film is scheduled for its release on August 31st, big weekend.

Venkat Prabhu’s next is Neradi Olibarappu

One of the top directors of Kollywood Venkat Prabhu who wrapped up the multi starrer Mankatha is all set to start his next project titled Neradi Olibarappu.

Neradi Olibarappu will be a comedy entertainer like his earlier outings Chennai 28, Saroja and Goa. This is a small budget film which is going to be produced by actress Sona Heiden under her production house Uniq Productions.

The cast and crew of the film are yet to be finalized but the groundwork is now going on in spite of Venkat Prabhu being busy with the post production works of Mankatha.

Venkat Prabhu is working round the clock to complete the post production works of Mankatha. As soon as Mankatha releases, Venkat Prabhu will be starting the shoot of Neradi Olibarappu.
