Simbhu’s Osthi #release date: 26th October

Simbhu starrer Osthi has now joined the Diwali race by getting released on 26th October, 2011. Yes, Osthi will lock horns with the other biggies like Suriya’s 7am Arivu, Vijay starrer Velayudham and Dhanush starrer Mayakkam Enna.

It is known that Osthi is the remake of Salman Khan’s blockbuster hit Dabangg which has the right potential to click at the Box-Office. Richa Gangopadhyay has stepped into Sonakshi Sinha’s shoes for the leading lady role in the film.

Confirming the news, actor STR said, “Osthi is releasing for Diwali. Entire talkie part of the film has been wrapped up except for few portions of songs. We feel it’s the right time to release the film for festive audiences.”

Osthi is directed by Dharani and produced by Ramesh and Mohan Apparao under the banner of Balaji Real Media. Thaman is rendering the tunes.

Nanban to release in theaters on Pongal 2012

Director Shankar is gearing upto release his prestigious project Nanban which has Vijay, Jeeva, Ileana, Srikanth and Sathyaraj in the lead roles. Currently the final editing of the film is under progress and the director has to still wrap up half a song and some patchwork with which the film gets completed.

Though Nanban was initially said to be a bilingual in Tamil and Telugu but nothing has been finalized on this front. Now latest we hear is that the makers of Nanban are going to release the Telugu dubbed version of the film in Andhra Pradesh. Producers of Nanban Gemini Film Circuit and director Shankar have a massive market for their films in Andhra. Even the lead cast Jeeva, Srikanth and Ileana has a brand in AP but its only Vijay who doesn't have a dubbing proper market.

Gemini Film Circuit and Shankar are now in plans of promoting Vijay in Andhra.  In order to fulfill this now all Vijay old films are suddenly getting dubbed in Telugu.

The audio of the film is expected to hit the stores soon as Harris is currently busy with the audio of Suriya's 7am Arivu.

Nanban is now going to release in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously on January 14, 2012.

Vellore Mavattam to release on Silver Screen on Oct 5

It will be raining films this Pooja season. With big production houses making mild alterations in the release dates of their films, the long Pooja weekend, in the state, is going to be drenched in fresh releases churning out of the Tamil film industry.

Actor Nandha's upcoming film 'Vellore Mavattam,' which sees him as a solo hero is all set to hit silver screens across the state on October 5. Nandha, in this film, will be a cop with Poorna playing his love interest. Good offers have been coming Nandha's way of late. He was seen in the recently released Jiiva starrer 'Vandhaan Vendraan.'

Scripted and directed by RNR Manohar, the film will showcase the baddies of 'Vellore Mavattam' as the title suggests, and will see a cop all set to hunt them down. The film will be produced by AGS Entertainment.

'Vellore Mavattam' will see Nandha in a full-fledged action role. The trailer of the film was out recently, has been received well and has created the required anticipation among the film-loving crowd. Many claim the teaser looks quite similar to the Suriya-Jyothika starrer 'Khakka Khakka.' While there is no doubt about the acting prowess of Nandha, it remains to be seen if this film will do to Nandha, what 'Khakka Khakka' did to Suriya's career.

Tamil Movies releasing this month[September 2011]

This month seems to have many releases as half a dozen films are gearing up to hit the screens.

Kasethan Kadavulda, Thikathathe Kathal, and Mathikettan Salai are scheduled to release on September 9. Coming to September 16 we have Engeyum Eppodhum, Vanthaan Ventraan, Aduthathu and Aayiram Vilakku. Muran which is set to release on September 16th has been postponed to September 23 as the makers don’t want to mess up the film with a clutter of releases. Muran will hit the screens along with Vaagai Sooda.

The last week Friday of the month will witness the release of two big films Dhanush’s Selvaraghavan directed Mayakkam Enna and Vishal’s Prabhu Deva directed Vedi.

The theater owners feel that some of the films which are set to release this month will not even collect theatre electricity charges as they have newcomers. They prefer to run Ajith’s Mankatha as they feel is a safer bet than any new releases!

'7am Arivu' for diwali release, In Telugu as 'The 7th Sense'

It is now official that Suriya starrer '7am Arivu' will see a Diwali release. Udhayanidhi Stalin has confirmed this news to the media and eager Suriya fans. Not just that, the film will see a release simultaneously in Telugu as 'The 7th Sense'.

It may be mentioned that Suriya has a good fan following in Andhra Pradesh as well, and so does Shruti Haasan, the lead lady in the film. It is said that Sun Pictures might purchase the theatrical rights of this biggie and another Diwali release, 'Nanban' as well.

Meanwhile, the images from '7am Arivu' that were recently unveiled has become quit an awe factor as Suriya is visibly seen in various avatars, and they definitely promise lot of action and romance.

A plan of releasing the movie in Hindi as well at the same time is on the pipeline, but an official announcement on this hasn't been made yet.

Ultimate Star Ajith Kumar Mankatha Movie Release Soon Posters. Studio Green KE Gnanavel Raja purchased the theatrical rights of Mankatha. Mankatha will be a Studio Green production and will be presented by Gnanavel Raja. Gnanavel Raja says: “ Mankatha theatrical and other rights have been purchased by Studio Green. The film got censoring (Aug 23) and we are trying our best to release it on Aug 31 worldwide.”
