A couple of days ago we have come across an update that Director Murugadoss is in plans of remaking his film Ramana in Hindi.
Now latest buzz is that Murugadoss is in plans of going to make Ramanna in Hindi for with Akshay Kumar as hero, producer by Vipul Shah. The director has recently met Akshay and has discussed the script with him. The actor was thoroughly impressed with Murugadoss narration as it suits the star’s image. The idea of the Hindi remake of Ramana started when AR Murgadoss sat on a hunger strike in support of Anna Hazare in Chennai. It was then the director hinted that he is going to remake his Vijayakanth starrer Ramanna in Hindi.
Ramana is a film which deals with the theme eradication of corruption. Murugadoss has later remade the same film in Telugu as Tagore with Chiranjeevi in the lead and then in Kannada as Vishnu Sena with Vishnuvardhan (actor) in the lead role.
The shoot of the Hindi version start next year once the director’s completes his next film with Vijay, which is slated for summer 2012 release.
It is well known that the Bollywood stars are eyeing in South Indian films and this has been proved with the recent remakes of Kaavalan, Uthamaputhiran and Kanchana.
