Vivek to plant one crore trees

When Vivek met Dr APJ Abdul Kalam recently, the former Indian President asked the comedian to start an initiative to plant one crore trees all over India, in a bid to tackle the threatening global warming.
The actor, who is an ardent admirer of Kalam, immediately decided to fulfill his vision, and tied up with Exnora International, an NGO popular for its green activities. He inaugurated the sapling plantation programme in Tiruchi recently.
As per Dr Kalam's request, my fan clubs in association with Youth Exnora International are going to plant ten lakh sapplings across the State before end of this year, he said and added that he was so happy to be part of such a noble cause.
‘I am just following the guideline of our former President, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam’s dream of planting one crore trees across India to protect the natural wealth of the country. I humbly request all nature loving persons to join this venture throughout the State and make the dream come true,’ he added.
