Yet another case has been filed against Sun Pictures COO, Hansraj Saxena. The Chennai Police has registered against him for the complaint given by producer Nemichand Jabak, the producer of Dhanush’s starrer Mappillai.
The complaint given by Nemichand Jabak stated that Saxena has cheated him and also threatened him dire consequences. In 2010, Nemichand Jabak has sold the rights of Mappillai to Sun Pictures for Rs 17 Crore but after the release of the film Saxena started threatening him to return Rs 3.37 Crore, saying that the film did not do too well. Based on this complaint, the Kodambakkam police recorded a case against Saxena under various sections for extortion, cheating, breach of trust and criminal intimidation of the Indian Penal Code.
Saxena is being named in nine cases involving production and distribution of three Tamil films Theeratha Vilayatu Pillai, Endhiran and Maapillai.
Currently Hansraj Saxena is behind the bars in the Puzhal jail.
