Trisha demands more for bikini

Rumours are rife in Tollywood circles about actress Trisha’s decision to don a bikini for an upcoming film by charging some ‘extra’ amount. Trisha is presently starring in the film ‘Bodyguard’ oppositeVenkatesh. The film is a remake of the Tamil super-hit film ‘Kavalan’ (which starred Vijay and Asinin lead roles). Incidentally, ‘Kavalan’ itself was a remake of the Malayalam hit film ‘Bodyguard’ which starred Dileep and Nayantara in lead roles.

'Kavalan’ manage to arrest Vijay’s spring of failures and enjoyed a good-run at the box-office. The film, a breezy family entertainer, had no violent or sexy sequences but succeeded mainly because of a clear script and matching performances by the lead actors.
The Telugu version, though, isn’t going to be made in the same mould, it is said. The makers of the Telugu ‘Bodyguard’ have decided to make actress Trisha don a bikini for a particular sequence in order to make the film appeal to the Telugu masses. Trisha was very reluctant to put on the bikini for a variety of reasons, one of them being the fact that she didn’t exactly possess an ‘hourglass’ figure, which is a must for wearing a bikini.
It is further reported that when producer Suresh assured her that she would be made an extra payment of Rs.25 lakhs to don the beach-wear costume, Trisha immediately agreed to do the sequence. Trisha’s decision to go glamourous appears to have been ‘driven’ by the conscious effort to sustain the on-slaught of the younger brigade of actresses in Tollywood.
