Actress Shreya Saran has a solitary project on hand in 'Rowthiram' opposite Jeeva. Shreya was in Holland recently to shoot for the film, said to be an exciting cop story and an action-packed adventure. Expectations are galore amid Jeeva's fans following the actor's back-to-back successes in 'Singampuli' and 'Ko' at the box-office.
Shreya Saran had a rather rough ride in 2010 and hopes to reverse the trend this year. Her last couple of films, 'Kutty' opposite Dhanush and 'Chikku Bukku' opposite Aarya didn't do as well as expected at the box-office, giving her the tag of an 'unlucky' actress. Interestingly enough, the plot of both the films were rather nice but they somehow failed to strike a cord with the audience.
Reports appearing in a section of the press claim that she would soon be pairing up opposite 'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Hassan in his upcoming film 'Viswaroopam'. The film, which was to be directed by selvaraghavan, would now be directed by Kamal Hassan himself. Sexy Bollywood actressSonakshi Sinha is all set for her Tamil debut opposite Kamal in this film, which might star Shreya as the second heroine.
Contrary to reports which said that Shreya Saran might pair up opposite Karthi in his next film 'Saguni', it has now been explained by Karthi himself that the director was looking for a fresh face and that Shreya Saran wasn't part of the scheme of things. The actress has apparently gone on record saying that she would love to act opposite Karthi whom she admires a lot as an actor.
Shreya says she believes that 'Rowthiram' would put her back in the reckoning in Tamil films. If she manages to land up the role in 'Viswaroopam', it would be a big boost to her sagging career at this stage, say observers.
