Actress Shalini bid good-bye to films soon after marrying Ajith Kumar and continues to remain away from the tinsel town. She is obviously happy that hubby Ajith’s landmark 50th film Mankatha has not only hit the bull’s eye at the box-office but has also silenced his critics for criticizing Ajith for disbanding his fans’ clubs a few months back saying that he might lose his fans base.

The film’s success has proved to one and all that the star’s fan base has remained intact, if not has increased by many notches, notwithstanding the fact that he played a ‘negative’ role in the film. Ajith leads an adventurous life by giving vent to his passion by participating in bike and motor car racing from time to time.

Not the one to lag behind, Shalini too has developed interests other than running the home and playing the ‘ideal wife’ to Ajith. A qualified badminton player, she won mixed doubles title in the sport at the State-level badminton championships held at Sivakasi recently.

Little Anoushka, their dear daughter, keeps both Ajith and Shalini engaged whenever they are home. Despite being a mother, Shalini has taken care to remain fit enough to play badminton, a game which needs a lot of energy. Last heard, Shalini has also started concentrating on learning swimming.
