Everything was set for Ahana Deol’s foray into Bollywood with the adaptation of Shakespeare’s tragic/romantic work ‘Romeo and Juliet’ but the film has been put on hold due to Prateik Babbar.
Director Aparna Sen was keen on having Prateik opposite Ahana as he matched Ahana’s personality apart from possessing the sensitivity and vulnerability to portray a modern-day Romeo. The talks with him went fruitful till Prateik said the reason of no dates.
Hema Malini confirmed this but made sure that she might start Ahana’s launch pad only after releasing Esha’s film Tell Me Of Kkhuda. Incidentally Aparna’s earlier film ‘Gulel’ with Abhishek Bachchan and Saif Ali Khan went nowhere as Bipasha was reluctant to play a mother.
So Ahana should wait for his Romeo for some more time.
