Generally we come across one or two villains in any film but coming to Velayudham, the scenario is totally different as Ilayathalapathy Vijay has cross swords with the 15 villains.
Sources reveal "Out of 15 villains, 12 villains are from south and three popular villains from Bollywood including Sayaji Shinde, Vineet Kumar and Abhimanyu Singh of Rakhta Charitra fame are roped in to play baddies".
The unit is currently stationed at Srinagar to can a song which will feature Vijay and, Genelia D'Souza and Hansika. Velayudham is partial based on brother-sister sentiment involving Vijay as a brother and Saranya Mohan as his sister. Hollywood stunt choreographer Tom Delmar has choreographed the stunts for the film and action sequences done by Vijay are said to be highlight of the film.
Vijay Antony has scored the music for this masala entertainer. Jayam Raja has directed the film while Aascar Films has produced the film.
