The trailer of Simbu's much-hyped Osthi (remake of Salman Khan's Bollywood blockbuster Dabangg), directed by Dharani, will be launched in Chennai soon with a single track ('Osthi Maaman'). Osthi is produced by Mohan Apparao and T. Ramesh under Balaji Real Media banner.
For the first time, Simbu will play the role of a cop on screen in Osthi. Richa Gangopadhya will play the role of Rancho (made memorable by Sonakshi Sinha in Hindi). Jithan Ramesh will play the role of Simbu's brother (which was originally played by Arbaaz Khan).
Revathi will appear as Simbu's mother, while Sonu Sood is reprising his original role in the Tamil version. Gopinath is the cameraman while Thaman is the music director.
