It looks like Karthi is keen in capturing the Telugu market as he launched the first look, logo and teaser of his forthcoming film Sakuni in Telugu first than in Tamil. The logo is unveiled by Ace Telugu producer Dr D Ramanaidu in Hyderabad. Top Tollywood director VV Vinayak released the publicity material of the film.
Saguni is a political satire which has Karthi and Praneetha in the lead roles. Directed by Shankar Dayal the film will see a release in Telugu as Sakuni. Karthi will sport a whole-new-look for Saguni that boasts off interesting twists. He is dressed in a formal look which reveals that he is playing the role of a politician.
On speaking at the press Karthi said "Though we have named the film as Shakuni, I played the role which resembles Sri Krishna Bhagwan. The story revolves round politics, with unforeseen twists. It is a satire on the present day politics. I am very happy that I played a strange role. The journey of a particular character in this film would be a big highlight".
This act of releasing the first look and logo in Telugu clearly shows his growing popularity in Andhra and his preferences.
