Kareena Kapoor becomes Kareena 'Karpooram' in Tamil

Kareena Kapoor has gone the extra mile for her upcoming Hindi film Ra.One. The Bollywood actress' efforts could surely help her to increase her fan base in Tamil Nadu! Well, the Kapoor gal has crooned a few Tamil lines for a song in her forthcoming Bollywood movie.

The actress has lent her voice for the item song, 'Chammak challo...' along with international singer Akon. The special number, which was recently released, has some Tamil lines like 'Mayanga maattiya...' in the second stanza.

Welcoming Kareena's attempt, actor Siddharth tweeted, “Kareena singing in Tamil...let's call her Kareena 'Karpooram' shall we. Mayanga mattiya? That's a reference to the Akon's song from Ra.One... Check it out!”

The song, which is written by Vishal Dadlani, reportedly has South Indian backdrop and has some classical steps. It is choreographed by Ganesh Acharya.

Shahrukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer sc-fi Ra.One is hitting the screens on October 26, 2011. It is directed by Anubhav Sinha and has Vishal-Shekhar's music.
