The Film Employees' Federation of South India (FEFSI) has advised the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce (SIFCC) not to interfere in matters of FEFSI. They also conveyed that they don’t have any problem with film producers in Tamil Nadu.

FEFSI secretary G Siva said “The decision made by SIFCC not to start shootings will result in misunderstanding and not only that this will totally ruin the relationship between producers and workers in the State. We feel that the problems of the employees may differ from one industry to other. The problems which are faced by us may not be of great importance to those in Tollywood. So there is no need to discuss things in common”.

As this wage hike problem has increased into a major emergency producers in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada industries have decided not to start new projects from September 7th, until the problem is solved.
