Mollywood girl Shwetha Menon, who was last seen in Kollywood in 'Naan Avan Illai - 2', will be playing an important and sensitive role in 'Aravaan', director's Vasanthabalan next venture after the critically acclaimed 'Angadi Theru'.
Produced by T Siva's Amma Creations, 'Aravaan' is a period film featuring Aadhi (of 'Mirugam' and 'Eeram' fame), Pasupathi, Dhanshika and Malayalam actress Archana Kavi in lead roles. It is based on a novel Kaval Kottam, penned by Venkatesan.
"Shwetha Menon is the latest addition to the cast of Aravaan. She will be seen in a crucial role, which will be controversial as well. She is happy about bagging a meaty character in a Tamil movie," sources say.
Confirming this, Shwetha Menon, who recently entered wedlock with her boyfriend says, "Yes, I am there in Aravaan. I was impressed with the script and Vasanthabalan's style of making." 'Aravaan' is being shot near Madurai.
