Osthi: Simbu croons 2 songs, praises Dharani

Silambarasan, who has made it a practice to sing in his films, has decided to lend his voice for the songs in his next movie Osthi, a remake of Bollywood blockbuster Dabangg. This time, the actor is all set to croon two songs, including a mass number.

Sources have confirmed that Simbu will be singing to tracks in Osthi. The actor will team up with Shreya Ghoshal for a duet number and other one is possibly an item number, which is similar to 'Munni badnaam...'. However, music director Thaman has refused to confirm, whether the Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa star will vocalize the Tamil version of the famous Bollywood song.

Talking about the audio, the music director claims that he is planning to release a single like Simbu's earlier film Vaanam. It will be released shortly, confirms Thaman. He further clarified the rumours, which claimed that he would retain the original tune of 'Munni badnaam...' for Osthi, by saying that he is composing a fresh tune keeping the Tamil audience taste in mind.

Meanwhile, the makers of Osthi are planning to invite Salman Khan for the audio launch function of the forthcoming Tamil film.

Simbu praises Dharani
Simbu is all happy about Osthi as the film has been completed in a record number of days. The actor is busy shooting for the film for the past few months and has wrapped the talkie portion of the film part from two songs.
STR while shooting for Osthi as well as writing the script for the film that is to be directed by him.  He is currently in Mysore completing the patch work of the film.

On talking about the film Simbu said “I was unable to believe that Osthi is wrapped up so fastly. The film is left with only two songs and all the credit goes to director Dharani for super good planning and execution. I worked like a Chitti Robo from early mornings to late night.  He has brought the best in me and I feel he is in complete sync with me. The dubbing works of the film has started in Chennai and Osthi will be my Diwali release”
