Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai's to get special screening at 36th Toronto Film Festival

Tamil movie Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai has been selected for the special screening at the 36th Toronto International Film Festival to be held between September 8 and 18. This is the only film from South India to be screened at the festival in the 'Contemporary World Cinema' category.

According to the press note released by the organisers of the 36th Toronto International Film Festival, the Contemporary World Cinema is a prestigious segment. The press release read, "This is a prestigious segment where the best of world cinema is selected and compete with one another."

However, Tamil film Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai is based on a story penned by writer Bhaskar Sakthi. The movie has been directed by Suseenthiran and produced by Cloud Nine Movies. Ilayaraja has scored music for it. The film features Appu Kutty and Saranya Mohan in the lead roles.
