Actress Ranjitha was in limelight once again by lodging a Police complaint against Sun TV in regard to the video featuring her with Swami Nithyananda. In her complaint at the Chennai City Crime Branch, She said Sun TV network and its sister publication Dinakaran defamed her and showcased her in the bad light.
Ranjitha claims that pictures and video footage that were aired were morphed ones and it is certainly not her. She further added that the Sun TV authorities demanded a huge sum from the actress inorder to stop airing the video.
When the actress was queried on why she remained silent for more than one and half year from lodging a complaint, Ranjitha says, “While DMK reigned, I had been threatened against it. . Now that the government has changed, I feel that justice will be done.”
