Ferrari Ki Sawari shot at Mumbai University

The last time that a film was shot at the famous 130yr old magnificent University heritage building was 18 years back for the film ‘1942 A Love Story’ directed by the producer of Ferrari Ki Sawari, Vidhu Vinod Chopra.

It is very difficult to get permission for shooting at Mumbai University but after the University thoroughly checked the concerned scene they agreed to give permission for the shoot.

A school children choir sequence was shot at Mumbai University campus. The film is Raju Hirani’s assistant director Rajesh Mapuskar’s directorial debut and Raju, Vinod known to bring authenticity to their films have lended their support to make sure that the film is filmed at real locations.

Apparently both Rajkumar Hirani and Vinod Chopra put off their individual projects aside to concentrate on the pre-production work of Ferrari Ki Sawari that stars Sharmaan Joshi in the lead.
